Okra Fry / Bendakaya Vepudu /Vendaikkai Fry / Bhindi Fry
Last night when we returned home from holiday shopping it was almost dinner time 8p.m. We had lunch at a fast food restaurant and not in a mood to have dinner again from outside. Left over tomato dal was there in the fridge. I wanted to prepare easy and quick curry as a side dish which will be ready by the time rice is cooked. Opened the freezer and found frozen cut okra packet and kept it outside to thaw it. Mean while put the rice in rice cooker and cut the onions and started preparation of curry. Served the dinner hot at 8:45 p.m. Here is the recipe for quick and easy okra fry :

Mutton Dum Biryani / Lamb Dum Biryani
My husband is a great fan of Mutton Biryani / Lamb Biryani. Whenever we go to an Indian restaurant, the first thing he orders is Muton Biryani. As it’s my husband's favorite dish, I started making Mutton biryani occasionally at home, which was a lengthy process to make in authentic way. With my busy work schedule it is almost impossible to spend much time on cooking, so I did some research and tried in different ways to simplify the recipe without compromising the taste and finally achieved it.

Egg Fried Rice - Indian style
Egg fried rice is one of the simple, quick, tasty and easy to prepare dishes which I make frequently at home. Usually I make Egg Fried Rice for Brunch (meal eaten between breakfast and lunch) on lazy weekends, when we wake up late, after a quick glance of news headlines and having a cup of coffee leisurely it's almost Brunch time :)
